We are pleased to announce the launch of “The Humanitarian Needs Assessment E-Learning” program.  As part of the KoBoToolbox project, the program has been developed by OCHA in close collaboration with the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI). The Humanitarian Needs Assessment E-Learning program guides users through a four-module training course in conducting humanitarian needs assessments. Given the complexities of humanitarian emergencies and disasters, this training course is meant to provide an overview of the humanitarian needs assessment process.Through experiential scenarios, users are taught how to prepare and design effective humanitarian assessments, as well as how to manage the process of collecting and analyzing primary data. While the course uses the KoBoToolbox as the go-to platform, it is useful for all professionals working in humanitarian response looking to improve their knowledge of emergency needs assessment work regardless of their tool of choice.  The course is free for everybody. Users will receive a certificate of participation through the Humanitarian Academy at Harvard upon completion.  Click here to get started.  For any questions or queries about the course please contact Anwar Mahfoudh (mahfoudh@un.org) or training@kobotoolbox.org
