There is no disaster assessments and disaster coordination without a strong operational support. New systems and tools are developed to improve the humanitarian response and new actors join to increase the humanitarian response but we – as first responders – keep facing the same basic challenges: accessing affected areas, communicating with partners and setting up a decent working and living environment. Missions after missions, our ten operational partners are standing by to enable UNDAC members to hit the ground running and perform at their best. This year as we celebrate the 10 years of partnership with global leading logistics company DHL, we welcome a new partner: the Fuel Relief Fund.

In 2016, FCSS will continue to strengthen the UNDAC system through building essential partnership to fill gaps in operational support to the benefit not only to the UNDAC team but also to the wider community of first responders. In FCSS, partnership goes along with friendship and we look forward meeting the operations support family in Geneva in February.
