Operational support partners are organizations that deploy to support UNDAC and OCHA missions through the provision of technical expertise and assets.
Our common support partners are the International Humanitarian Partnership (IHP), American Support Team (AST), Cascos Blancos, Telecoms sans Frontières (TSF), MapAction and ACAPS. On 23 and 24 November, ESB facilitated a workshop to begin the revision of the former OSOCC Operational Support Staff (OOSS) course, hosted by THW in Cologne, Germany. The vision for the course focuses on supporting information processes and reflects an expanded audience with the potential for dedicated deployed capacity. The workshop was attended by 15 participants from 10 organizations. The discussions resulted in a defined audience, aim, outcomes and learning objectives. The outcome of this workshop will inform the training package, which will be developed in 2016 in consultation with a working group.
