ESB’s Emergency Preparedness and Environment Section (EPES) participated in the Annual Meeting of the OECD Working Group on Chemical Accidents in Paris 27-29 October, where a second phase of an OECD project on managing the risks of natural-hazard triggered technological accidents was approved.

OECD delegates were very interested in the EPES-proposed project, which links to the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Action on Disaster Risk Reduction.

Seven member states and organizations joined the project’s steering committee, which will be chaired and financially supported by Germany.
