The UNDAC Asia Consolidation course was held in Yokohama, Japan from 20 to 24 July, with 33 participants and facilitators from 18 countries and organizations. The course was hosted by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), and JICA Yokohama International Centre was used for the entire course. JICA and OCHA signed a MoU in last year to further strengthen cooperation and collaboration. This UNDAC course was also a part of the MoU implementation. During the one-week intensive course, participants had opportunities to share their experiences and learn new technologies such as KOBO toolbox for assessment. Some core topics such as FMTs, Environmental Emergencies, USAR Coordination were covered through the peer-teaching among participants.
